Get a Strong Start
It really depends on your goal and your weight-loss momentum.
To start, we recommend committing to the full structure of the Phase 1 plan for at least 4 weeks (eating just HMR foods plus fruits and vegetables).
Whenever the time comes that you are losing steam or just need more flexibility, you can move to Phase 2 where you use some HMR foods along with other food of your choosing.

If you're feeling like Phase 1 is a little too structured for you, Phase 2 is the perfect way to add some structure into your meal planning with the flexibility to enjoy other foods of your choosing.
To get the most out of Phase 2, we recommend using about 2 HMR foods each day to replace higher calorie meals or snacks you would have otherwise. So you might have an HMR Shake with fruit for breakfast, and an HMR Entree with vegetables for lunch. This will help you displace lots of calories that you probably won't miss that much anyway!

If you find yourself feeling "stuck" in Phase 2, with the scale not going in the direction you want, you can try joining a free Phase 2 weekly coaching session for added accountability, guidance, and support.
Another way to boost your weight loss is to change your subscription to Phase 1, and follow the Phase 1 meal plan (eating only HMR foods and fruits and vegetables—no other food), until you feel like you've re-established your weight-loss momentum.

However, many people find that maintaining a Phase 2 membership long term helps them stay on track. By using HMR foods to replace some meals and snacks, you're removing some of the stressful food decisions you have to make every day.
Many people also continue to find tremendous value in attending the weekly Phase 2 support sessions (some people have been with us for years!). They appreciate the accountability and stay motivated and inspired by their like-minded fellow group members—everyone working on their own weight and health goals, and supporting each other to do the same.
